Terms of Service

Veggie Trade ("we", "us") operates an online marketplace where home growers, gardeners, homesteaders, and small farms can list, sell, buy, and trade homegrown food and related items with other members ("you"). By creating an account or using the site you agree to these Terms.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for all activity on your account. Keep your password safe and let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized access.

When you list an item you promise it is grown or produced by you (or by someone you're authorized to represent), is safe and legal to sell where you are, and is described accurately. Sellers set their own price, quantities, and fulfillment options (pickup, local delivery, or shipping) and are responsible for fulfilling accepted orders and trades.

Sales are processed through our payment provider. A small processing fee applies to paid orders; trades are free. Prices are shown to buyers before checkout. Sellers are responsible for any applicable taxes on their sales.

If something goes wrong with an order, message the other party first — most issues are resolved quickly in the chat. If you can't reach a resolution, contact us and we'll help mediate. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis and may be issued by the seller directly or through our payment provider.

You keep ownership of photos, descriptions, posts, and reviews you upload. By posting, you grant Veggie Trade a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display and distribute that content on the platform and in related marketing. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms, put other members at risk, or cause harm to the community.

Veggie Trade is provided "as is". We don't guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of items listed by members, and we're not a party to the transactions between buyers and sellers. You use the service at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Veggie Trade is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we'll notify active members. Continued use of Veggie Trade after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
